Based in Salisbury in Wiltshire and close to the world renowned chalk streams Avon, Test and Itchen, Hotchkiss Fly Fishing was founded by John Hotchkiss.

He very much loved his time by the water with his clients and took great pride in offering a highly personal and bespoke service. His ethos was always to teach by encouragement and praise, and that, combined with his decades of knowledge, led to many a happy fisherman (or woman) with a brace on the bank.

Sadly, John peacefully passed away late in 2018 but it was his wish that Hotchkiss Fly Fishing should continue after him to provide first class fishing and guiding on premier beats of our renowned chalk streams to individuals and groups.

In this vein John handpicked several fishing guides all with tremendous experience, to work with over his last few years. They are all seasoned and expert anglers, all qualified instructors, and most importantly, have the people skills that can communicate to clients their passion for our wonderful sport.

In addition, the company hosts annual salmon fishing trips to top beats on the rivers of Iceland, Norway and Scotland and can facilitate wonderful wild brown trout fishing in South Island, New Zealand.

Whatever the client's level of skill, whether they are looking for a day's guided trout fishing, one-to-one tuition, a day fishing alone, that special salmon trip abroad, we pride ourselves on offering an expert and personal service.
